Michael Sidey ChairmanI am an advocate of all young people having access to recreational, cultural and educational opportunities. That is my background as chairman of the Young Stroke Thrivers Foundation and Halberg Endowment Fund, and as a trustee of the Halberg Foundation. I am also deputy chairman of Forsyth Barr, a trustee of the Central Lakes Trust, and previously have been a director of NZ Academy of Sport - South Island, the University of Otago and Winter Games NZ.

Jaime HutterI took up rowing in 1992, moved to Wanaka in 2004, and have been Treasurer of the Wanaka Rowing Club for the past six years. I enjoy racing on the water with the masters rowers and off the water in triathlons (Challenge Wanaka), running (Queenstown Marathon), cycling (Hawea Epic & Motatapu) and even on the rowing machine. I'm married to a lake swimmer and am the parent of a keen Junior Challenge Wanaka athlete.

Carrie WallisI'm happiest when I'm out on the water ... My involvement in water sports as a competitive water-skier during my teenage years provided me with incredible opportunities, including powerful personal development and life-long friendships, and has significantly shaped who I am today. It is a real privilege to be able to 'give back' as a trustee of this fabulous new facility, assisting the terrific kids in our community to grab similar positive experiences and enabling even more locals to get out and enjoy our beautiful lake!
With primary school aged twin daughters, my governance experience has been gained from my time on the Boards of Trustees for both Montessori Children's House Wanaka and Holy Family Catholic School. |
Mick HollyerI have been coming to Wanaka all my life and am a retired commercial lawyer now living here permanently. I have had many years’ experience not only with commercial and corporate matters but also in setting up legal structures for clubs and charitable organisations.

Jackie BoydLake swimming and being an active member of the community are passions of mine. I have lived in Wanaka since 1994, been a business owner here for 10 years, and was one of the founding committee members of the Wanaka Lake Swimmers Club in 2011. I'm also mother of a Junior rower. I'm very excited about having this facility available for all lake users - it will be a fantastic attribute to the region.
